We are a year 5/6 (9-10 year olds) class from Bairds Mainfreight Primary School in Auckland, NZ.

You can see some of our learning that took place in Room 12 in 2010 and 2011.

Which miner first??

We watched this video and wondered how we could decide who should come out first...

Alphabetical Order (Moana)

The one with the most children (Taylor)

Skinniest to Fattest (Jesame)

Youngest to oldest (Laurielle)

Priority to the ones with a medical condition (Moana)

Long hair to short hair (Jesame)

Short to tallest (Ofa)

Ladies first (Jae)

Or play games!

Paper scissors rock

Pea-knuckle

Arm wrestle

Maths tiggy

BUT MARY WANTS TO KNOW WHY CANT THEY MAKE MORE ELEVATORS???

    Those are some good ideas. I know if I was down in the mine I would definitely want to be the first one out! I liked Moana's idea that the miners with medical conditions should go first. I heard that the first miner is out, I wonder if they will tell the media how they decided the order.
