We are a year 5/6 (9-10 year olds) class from Bairds Mainfreight Primary School in Auckland, NZ.

You can see some of our learning that took place in Room 12 in 2010 and 2011.

NB: I have moved to a new school now so this blog is no longer active. You are still welcome to comment and look at the great fun we had over the past two years.

Where is it from?

This term you are going to be exploring many of your favourite things.

It could be your favourite computer game, your favourite sport, your favourite food, your favourite ANYTHING!

Once you have chosen the thing you are going to explore you are going to find out for me:

WHERE IS IT FROM???

WHO MADE IT???

HOW MUCH DID THEY GET PAID???

WHAT IS THEIR WORK PLACE LIKE???

WHAT COULD THEIR HOME BE LIKE???

How can you tell other people about what you have discovered?

IS IT STILL YOUR FAVOURITE THING???

    If my favourite thing was Open Source Software could I use the same questions, or could I even take this planning and use it here?
