Our Blog

We are a year 5/6 (9-10 year olds) class from Bairds Mainfreight Primary School in Auckland, NZ.

You can see some of our learning that took place in Room 12 in 2010 and 2011.

NB: I have moved to a new school now so this blog is no longer active. You are still welcome to comment and look at the great fun we had over the past two years.

Thank you for all the lovely comments :)

Our Oak Tree

This is our Beautiful Oak Tree

Today we are going to try and get it protected so that people in the future cannot cut down our tree.

Jayden wonders "What if they break the agreement?"

  1. Hi guys,
Wow! That looks like a huge tree. It looks much taller and wider than our example. However we thought it looked a bit like the tree in our yard.
    We were wondering...
How old do you think the tree is?
How will you contact the council to tell them about your tree? What will you say about it? Will you write a letter?
It looks like the tree covers the entire playground.
We thought you spoke clearly during the whole film.
We agree that the tree should be saved.

From your friends in Middle K and Mr KT

PS. We have a 'Guess the lollies in the jar' fundraiser going at the moment to raise money for the people in Christchurch effected by the earthquake.

    Bye :)
