Our Blog

We are a year 5/6 (9-10 year olds) class from Bairds Mainfreight Primary School in Auckland, NZ.

You can see some of our learning that took place in Room 12 in 2010 and 2011.

NB: I have moved to a new school now so this blog is no longer active. You are still welcome to comment and look at the great fun we had over the past two years.

Thank you for all the lovely comments :)

  1. Hi Room 12!
We really enjoyed your news report.
We liked the transitions you had between each segment. It looked professional, like a real news report.
We all thought that your acting skills were good when you reenacted saving someone in an earthquake.
We thought it was powerful having the text on the screen to give us information.
Improvements: We were wondering if you used a tripod because the camera shook a little bit. But it worked well for the reenactment.
Some of the voices were a bit quiet at the start but that is OK. Do you have a microphone? We found that a mic helped us a lot.

We are very sorry for all the people affected by the Christchurch earthquake. Well done for raising so much money.

    Talk to you soon!
    Cheerio for now!
