We are a year 5/6 (9-10 year olds) class from Bairds Mainfreight Primary School in Auckland, NZ.

You can see some of our learning that took place in Room 12 in 2010 and 2011.

NB: I have moved to a new school now so this blog is no longer active. You are still welcome to comment and look at the great fun we had over the past two years.

March 1st News



We were shocked to hear about the Earth-quake in Chile and the Tsunami scare. It reminded us of the Samoan Tsunami last year and, more recently, the cyclone that hit the Cook Islands.

    I was shocked to hear about the Tsunami too! I was woken up at 1:20am and had to listen to the radio to be told what to do as they thought the Tsunami would hit Tonga!!! I was sooooo scared! We were all evacuated to the bush at 4:30am - it was the highest point! Tonga is very flat though so if the Tsunami had hit, I dont know how safe we would have been!
    Anyways hope you all good!
