We are a year 5/6 (9-10 year olds) class from Bairds Mainfreight Primary School in Auckland, NZ.

You can see some of our learning that took place in Room 12 in 2010 and 2011.

NB: I have moved to a new school now so this blog is no longer active. You are still welcome to comment and look at the great fun we had over the past two years.

Toasty Maths




How many pieces of toast?

What other maths questions do we have?

Our questions:
Is it a tidy number? - Nope
Can you put it in a media player and slow it down? (good question, good thinking)
What is the number before? (ha ha nice try)
They don't start until 7 seconds. What is 1:34 - 7?
How many seconds in 2:34?
How many pieces of toast in 10 seconds?
