Our Blog

We are a year 5/6 (9-10 year olds) class from Bairds Mainfreight Primary School in Auckland, NZ.

You can see some of our learning that took place in Room 12 in 2010 and 2011.

NB: I have moved to a new school now so this blog is no longer active. You are still welcome to comment and look at the great fun we had over the past two years.

Thank you for all the lovely comments :)

Comparing and Constrasting Blake

He couldn't talk
He didn't know how to crawl
He was small
He cried
He was tiny
He wanted hi mum all the time
He couldn't roll over
He couldn't make noises
He didn't have teeth
He couldn't communicate
He couldn't stand
He couldn't grab stuff
His hands were closed
He fell a lot
He couldn't balance
He had no hair
He was sometimes scared

NOW HE

Relates to people (see video)
Interacts with us
He can communicate with his Mum
Now he knows everyone
He can grab lots of toys
He is getting stronger
He can sit on his own
He's not that tiny anymore
He can crawl
He can point
He can stand up
He doesn't want his mum ALL THE TIME
He reads book that are appropriate for him (with his mum)
He bites his Mum
He moves around heaps
He talks
He can feed himself

  1. Hi, I liked reading your comparisons. I thought it was interesting that even though he can't communicate with words he can communicate with his Mum. What ways does he use to communicate with her? I loved the video - he was obviously enjoying your company!
